Angel

8 Years Old Female, Housebroken, Needs To Be Only Pet

Although you may not be able to adopt this dog, you can help us care for her while she is in foster care! Even a donation of $5 will help us with vet care, food, etc.

1/15 - Happy New Year to all!! I just wanted to say hello and let you all know that I am still doing really well here at my foster home. My Holiday's here were a lot of fun. I was able to eat some Christmas ham and turkey. Actually, I was the "taste tester...hehehehe" They let me have the first couple of bites. HOW LUCKY WAS I!!!! I really do well listening but if I don't want to go outside I will let you know by sitting on my butt and having a cutesy "don't make me go outside face on"  I have been working with my foster parents on finding areas that are better for us to walk so I don't run into any dogs. Actually, we have found it almost impossible to find a "perfect dog free walk" but we have definitely been able to fine better routes. And I have been trying really hard to ignore those other dogs but sometimes it gets the best of me!! Oh well, I am who I am and no one can change that....Talk to you all soon!!!!

12/13 Hi everyone,  It's me, Angel again. I have been doing really well since my last update. I have been on Glyco-Flex for my arthritis and it seems like it is helping me out a whole lot. Gotta keep walking even if it is cold outside (Thanks to Diane and the coat that she gave me, you can see it, in my pictures). I am still in my foster home and love them more than ever.  I can't wait to see what they got me for Christmas!!!!!  I do really well guarding the door whenever a stranger comes to the door but make sure to apologize right afterwards by following them around and trying to give them a hug. I do listen very well when spoken to but I am not too enthusiastic about anything except for my ham bone. While walking, I do get really upset if I should see another dog or a cat but I am easily calmed after I have been removed from the situation. I was changed over to a new dog food, and at first I thought that my tummy could not handle it but after four weeks of transitioning over to the new dog food, I feel great!! I absolutely love it when someone is home with me but like my alone (nap) time too. My issues with cats and other dogs continues but my foster mom and dad told me I am allowed to be who I want to be and I don't have to change for anyone. If a forever home should ever come over the horizon, nothing would make me more happy than to have a loving, happy, healthy home!! Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

11/7 - Hi my name is Angel and I have been in my new foster home for almost three weeks. I love my foster mom and dad cause they take me for walks EVERY day!! I have some new friends (fish, snake, and dragon) in the house that don't bother me like a cat or dog would. The fish are really cool to look at and I stick my nose right on the tank to watch them. The dragon (Pete) and snake (Hunter) are kind of boring cause all's they do is lay around, then again, I am very laid back too so we all go good together. I am sooooo laid back that you don't need to bother with a ball or any toy, because all's that am concerned with is the love that everyone is giving me. I can handle being by myself for a while when everyone is at work but I get a break everyday because my foster dad comes home at lunch. Did I say that I love going for walks??? I will let you know too when it is time for me to go and if you don't plan on taking me on one, then don't say the word "WALK" because I will go crazy. Thankfully my foster mom and dad make sure to take me on a walk everyday, no matter what the weather brings, unless of course it is snowing, but then I will just wait for the snow to end and then we can go venture out as long as I have my coat. Well, my dinner is ready so I will talk to you all soon!!!!

8/31 - Angel is a pure sweet heart.  She loves people and is great upon meeting them.  She gets very excited around children, but seems to know when they are scared of her and she backs off.  She is fine by herself, and does not need to be in a crate.  As of now she is usually with someone during the day.  She has arthritis, but is able to keep up on
daily jogs and walks.  Angel is working on getting along with other dogs, especially females. She would love an only dog home with someone to keep her active and snuggle up to.

Angel is an 8 year old (approximate)  female boxer.  She is spayed and current on her vaccinations.  Angel needs a home where she will be the only pet.  She loves people and is very sweet.  Housebroken and crate trained but she doesn't need her crate and does well in a dog proof area of the house during the work day.

Watch for updates as we get to know her.
