1/12/05 - Hello everyone, just thought I'd update you on how my new life has been going since my adoption three months ago.  Where do I start???  I guess I'll start with an update on my health.  I went to the vet before Christmas to get a check up on my feet and legs.  I met up with all of my friends at Acorn who were amazing help and very kind and gentle.  I have some arthritis in my back hips and have since then started taking some medicine to ease the pain when I walk.  I enjoy that so much, now when it's time to go for a ride I can get really excited a jump around.  I feel so much younger now.  While I was there they also found another mast cell on my foot, so I had to go back a couple weeks later and have three cells removed from my front leg.  Right now I'm doing well, my stitches come out next week and I'm feeling great!  I've also scheduled to see a neurologist about the problem with my back legs.  I'm not sure what the doctor will be able to do for me, but I'm hoping he will have some insight into how I can make these legs less clumsy so I have a bit more control over them.  Sometimes I think they have a mind of their own.  Oh...guess what I got for Christmas...oh my gosh I'm so excited my tail's going to wag off my bum!!!  I got three 3 foot bullies, which I love to sit down and knaw on for hours.  I finished all three in less than two weeks.  I put a lot of hours of chomping and licking into those things :)  I also got a new black leather collar with studs. It makes me look very majestic and studley, and it matches Mom and Dad's belts that they wear before one of Dad's music shows (he's in a band).  And just to add the final touches some pooch cologne called "stud muffin" so I smell good for the lady friends.  Overall, I'd have to say I got the best presents in the house, and best of all...I have a new loving home with so much attention and love I'm not sure who's hand to budge first for a little pat.  Aside from the holidays and the doctor visits, I've settled in quite nicely.  Sssss...can I tell you a secret...I've learned that if I grunt and make a little noise, Mom will do whatever I want :)  She always says "you're so cute, I just can't ignore those little grunts," then she rubs my ears and gives me a treat.  Who knew all you had to do was grunt and sit to get what you wanted.  Well, I guess I should sign off, I think I'll go look for a head pat or maybe show someone my cute innocent face so I can get another cookie!!!  Lots of licks!!!!  Sneakers
