Suzie (one of the Fab Five) is possibly 8 or 9 years now, her fur coat never fully recovered.  She still has leathery patches on her thighs, and a bald spot on her back.  After these years away from her past life, she  remains very fearful of people, doors that bang, and papers that rustle.  Her fear is real, and so very sad to see. 

She is a sweet, beautiful animal, and I tell her every day, how sorry I am that she was so poorly treated, for so many years.

It took two full years for her to learn to play with toys, wiggle like a Boxer, and to understand what we were talking about !!

Her health is very good, and she has become a vital part of our lives.

Sammy came here with her, but didn't fare so well.  Recently  we have taken another Boxer into out hearts, and what a pair they have become.
